About Little Fish

I'm Gabi

Welcome to the Little Fish website. My name is Gabi Watson and I set up Little Fish in 2006.

As an ex competitive swimmer I have been involved in swimming my whole life. I took my first ASA assistant teacher qualification with my swimming club as a teenager in 1997 and have been teaching swimming ever since. Over the years I have worked for a mixture of private swim schools and holiday camps both in the Midlands and Bristol.

Gabi About us

Why did i SET UP lITTLE fISH?

Swimming teaching was always my part time job through school and University. I attended Warwick University where I studied History of Art. Since focussing purely on my aquatic career I have qualified to teach aqua aerobics, taken specialist baby and pre-school courses and trained to be an STA tutor.

I set up Little Fish to provide the best possible lessons for children in Bristol. I believe that small relaxed, fun classes are the best environment for children to enjoy learning how to swim. Our teachers are in the water with the children to inspire confidence. At Little Fish we aim to provide a tailor made service where every child feels special and looks forward to their lesson each week.

Within the Little Fish team we have teachers with experience ranging from tiny babies all the way up to pre competition. Some of our teachers are also qualified in disability swimming.

With our progressive programme children can achieve amazing results learning super technique and other important skills such as diving and survival skills. When the time comes we are very proud to send our young swimmers on to local swimming clubs where they can develop their skills further.
